clicking seat heat relay

In my '91 100 The seat heater relay(s) above the driver knee click.  Both
seat heaters feel like they are working fine, and are adjustable. What is
the cause of the clicking?  Is it harmful to the relays, ie. arcing away?
Will replacement relays make noise also?
