4k door problems.. still

Stephen, I feel your pain, I have the same issue with my 4k. I had a
look at the door opening issue after fighting with my heater cables,
and no dice.
Same issue, the outside rods seem to be too short to operate the
opening mechanism correctly. Same issue with opening the door from the
inside, you have to pull the handle all the way back, and give the
door a little push to open it, in this case the rod is too long.
In order to open it from the outside, press the handle down and push
against the door, this should wiggle the opening mechanism a bit more
- this worked for me for the last few months.
I know the previous owner replaced the handle, as I have a key only
for the driver side door, the rest of the car still has the same
matching key. I will try to source a oem handle from a junkyard, see
if that will solve my issues...
