The work "CODE" never showed up after having boosted the battery the second
time, unlike the first time. Pushing the on/off button did not do anything.

This is when I started the email.

That IS interesting.  Might want to change the glass fuses anyway (since
they can work loose with use/heat cycles and vibration).

 

I'm presuming that it wasn't merely a loose plug since it all coincided with
the jump start.

 

Did the radio "lock itself up" after too many incorrect codes?  Did the
"hard reboot" "unlock" it to resubmit a code?

 

Ti Kan's website needs updated for 2005-up.  Is he still around?
