Hi Kent and all ....
Well honestly I am not exactly sure --
what I do know is that I had brought the
Audi in for DIAGNOSIS several times ...
over a few months ...
and got vague answers, cleaned the
MAF and put in a new one and it didn't run
right ....
remember when I talked about the SMOKE
on the first ride home uphill ...
I think .... IMHO
that the Audi Tech in Tucson knew the
engine was going bad ...
I have never let it get low on oil
and I did not beat the car at all --
I was told two cylinders were bad
and a third weak.
How if I had had the car into the
shop with them to be checked several
times, how did it happen that that did
not come to light until my CAR WAS ALL
APART ? I do not believe they
needed to take the car apart to
tell me 2/3 cylinders were bad.
Fortunately there is a good mechanic here
in Flagstaff and I won't have to drive
to Phoenix or the dealership any longer.
My poor RAM Van is 20 years old and
will need to be babied ...
I left it running when I walked away to
go into the coffee house, expecting
to come right out and it popped out of
gear and rolled a ways. So now I cannot
leave it running.
It seemed to start better from day
with almost no "time on the starter"
and it definitely seems something is
out of kilter in the linkage somewhere
... but I'll have to address
that later.
Cheers, Fay
