Auto Union D-type FS

Kent,
This is the same car that was planned to be sold at Christies' as Chassis 
number 21....and then pulled when it was revealed that it actually was 
Chassis number 19.

A cuple of thoughts spring to mind:
- I wonder how much it cost Christies to repair the dent that was put in it 
when it was being transported to the Auction House.
- So it sounds like someone in Canada has it?  Hmmm....d'ya think he'd join 
the Canadian Convoy to the Carlisle Import show next May?
It will be interesting to see if the auction in August goes through...or 
whether the car gets pulled at the last minute like at Christies.  One 
interesting thing to note about the "interested parties"....methinks there 
will be someone who will be sticking his chin into this.....
