Why, YES,  having owned a Mazda Rotary and owning the V8Q's.  Besides
removing the plugs, you'd have to jack up the front and let the wind blow
under it's skirt if I ever wanted the ole RX2 to spark up after flooding.
 
On the V8Q Audi had the dealer play magical plugs, it doesn't like not
being fully warmed up before shutdown.
