Is V8's front end compatible with 5ktq?

If you get about a foot off the front of each of the V8's frame arms and
weld that to the front of your 5ktq's frame arms, you would have a basis
for supporting the V8's front sheet metal. You'd need the core support and
all the little supporting arms extending off it to keep the fenders from
flapping. You'd also need the bottoms off your front fenders at the back
of the wheelwell, below the black trim with the Aud logo in it, to add to
the bottoms of the V8's front fenders. To really make it right, you'd need
the rear doors and the rear fender sections off the V8 so your rear
wheelwells wouldn't look so slab-sided. I think it would look weird
without the rear wheelwell flares. And, of course, you'd need the bumper
elements.
The UFO rotors COULD be a steal at $10-15 each. They'll be loose if the
wheels have been removed. To get 'em off the caliper/hub assemblies, you
need to remove the inner brake pad by taking off the retainer spring. If
they're loose, that means the little screw that anchors them in place3 (not
a supporting screw, just a locating screw) has been removed. Not a biggie.
Those rotors won't work on your car. You'd need the hubs and strut
assemblies, as well as different control arms. The calipers might be of
value to whoever got the rotors too.

Subject: Is V8's front end compatible with 5ktq?
Hi everyone?
Has anyone swaped the front end (bumper, fenders and hood)
of a 1990 Audi V8 into a 5KTQ?
Can it be done?
If so, I assume fenders, bumper and hood need to be swaped as a package to
work? Does the front center support need also be swaped to work? If doable,
is it plug and go or does it need any modification to the sheet metal on
the 5KTQ
I own an '86 5KTQ and today I can across a 1990 V8 in same mactching color,
pearl white.
The front end from that V8 would look nice in the 5KTQ.
Also, I've read somewhere about some people swapping the rear diff. from
V8s into a 5KTQ. Can it really be done and if so can the whole thing be
swapped, housing and everything or just the internals and what are the
advantages?
Further more, the whole rear suspension (calipers, control arms, parking
brake cables, springs, cross-member to which the diff. mounts) looks the
same as that in the 5KTQ. Whith that in mind, does it share the same fuel
tank?
The instrument cluster lights on my 5KTQ are not lighting up. All the light
outside work fine, including license plate light. Any it could be the
instrument cluster light-relay which resides above the glove box. Does
anyone know if this relay is specific to the 5KTQ or is it shared with the
V8 and/or 200TQ or other models? If so, where is it located in non 5KTQ?
The V8 at the junkyard had a mere 130K, that's if the speedo works. It was
junk apperantly because of a small fire on the rear of the head on driver's
side. It was not a big fire but intense enough to melt about 2 inches off
the edge of the head and surrounding plastics and hoses.
Also, the UFOs look in good shape, although someone had been looking at
them as they were kind loose...that junk yard told me the price for rotors
is between $10-$13, not bad since from what I hear they are quite pricy.
Regards to everyone and thanks in advance for your response.
