Guys,
An update:
I went through the majority of the electrical tests suggested during
yesterday in the parking lot at work before going home.
All the voltages resistances, torques etc checked out.
I got the car started eventually and took some of my frustration out on the
throttle pedal on the way home.
And picked up an audible boost leak, something that i had not heard before.
I think that the frustration may have made the boost/air leak
catastrophic......
It was the manifold to wastegate hose, which was rubber with a braided
fabric sheath.
It looked and felt solid from the outside when i had a feel last week.
I obviously burst it yesterday, but when i sectioned the hose, it was truly
shafted.
This morning, i appear to have burst the Michelin man hose from the
intercooler to the throttle valve
I fixed it with some "high boost" insulating tape with a top layer of
"racing" duct tape (or Saskatchewan Chrome as they say out west) until I can
get a new one next week. I also ordered a replacement igloo.
I'll fit that lot, reset the mixture and evaluate for a bit.
I will keep you posted, but it seems that I may have been "over thinking".
Thanks for the advice and sorry for the "apparent" false alarm.
Have a good weekend
Geraint
