K26 on 200 20v

Hi Dave,

Not a clue about the specific question, but I have an advice for you. If you
did not measure the play with a proper dial gauge, the do not assume your
K24 is worn. I did order another K26 (from Cody...) last summer when the one
that was on the replacement engine I bought (from Mike Hopton) was showing
too much play to my fingers. Then, Cody's K26 was a water cooled unit, my
urq uses an older non water-cooled K26, so I decided to buy a proper dial
gauge to measure play to see if I could install it.

Results ? What my finger were measuring was indeed about 1/3 of the maximum
allowed play ! That is 0.008 in radial and 0.003 axial, where Bentley says
0.022 and 0.008.

So, before concluding that your K24 is worn, measure it !
