Aother Audi for Me

Well folks, I finally got another Audi.

This ones a 99 A6Q Avant with barely 63K miles. Really love the way it drives compared to my current A4 18tqa, and I haven't even started messing with it. Very comfortable and easy to drive with lots of power. Just had the snow storm here in the East and managed very well in the conditions.

Oh, and the heat. Finally, an Audi where the heat and AC work! It's been my bad luck to have gotten a couple of Audis' where either the heat didn't work or the cooling didn't. I've spent the better part of almost six years freezing my behind off in the A4.

Have a list of things to do with it including the TB and trans service first up. Need to R&R the tiptronic as it does not seem to work although the auto trans shifts fine. Radio doesn't work either. PO said the way he got it to work was to pull the fuse for stereo about 20 minutes, plug it back in and then start the car. Have not tried it, but it seems a strange way to get the stereo going. Needs a good paint job as well although it is passable from a distance.

Got it for $3600 so it's not a bad deal IMO. Overall I'm very happy with it. It was a very spur-of-the-moment decision.

Anyway, waiting for the weather to turn a little warmer before I start digging around and seeing if I can fix some of the minor issues. Might just take it to a mechanic for the stereo and tip thing and do the TB and trans stuff myself. We'll see.
