Subject: What kind of a crazy person would drive an LT-1 powered German car?
Same kind of crazy person who would take a fine, elegant, refined, pedigreed British sports car and
remove the old world hand crafted engine that the car was designed for and then take a crude, mass
market lump of Detroit Wonder Metal (cast iron) and stuff it into the resultant available space
AC Cobra. Carroll Shelby.
Start with a completely unexceptional run of the mill boring, slow and underpowered British two
seater, finish up with an absolute and legendary world beater.

Well, the last isn't completely true. Once they put the 2 liter Bristol engine in the AC Ace, it really moved.
And the Ace is one of the most beautiful cars of all time, IMHO. I like the early 289 Cobras, as they didn't
mess with the body. But the 427-powered Cobras (and most of the kit cars) are really just caricatures of
the original and very cartoonish, in my view.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_Ace
I'd love an Ace-Bristol or (more unlikely) an early 289-powered Cobra. Heck, I'd even like a kit car with
the early body style and a Ford Mustang GT powertrain.
As far as others, how about an Allard-Cadillac?
