Would relaying the trailer harness make the bulb monitor stop b!tching when
I tow?

OK, OK, I think I know about this one. I just put a hitch on my 95 A6, and
I wired the lights using a 'Power Converter' that you can buy from Northern
Tool, Pep Boys or one of those such places.

Less than $50, and about 45 min to install. Power is directly pulled from
the battery, sent to a small converter box and from there sent to the lights.
I'm sure the converter box acts like a bunch of relays.

So far, no light bulb codes, but my warning lights may be different than
earlier models.

Anyway, it worked for me.
