Rallying is not just spec racing, it's a series of extended press  
conferences occasionally interspersed with a bit of a rally sprint on  
gravel...... The rally of Wales is the decendent of the RAC, based in  
Caerdydd. Just these days the boys need to stay so close to the studio  
that Hafryn / Sweet Lamb is too far for them to go let alone  
Pundershaw or Scotland. FFS guys grow some chest hair!

Still that's progress I suppose. But "test of man and machine" my  
bottom!

20 years ago I would have said rallying over endurance for a real test  
if the engineering, now I'm not so sure.
