How to remove Fuel Pump?

Over lunch, I've hastily dumped some of this plus some other crap that
was floating around in my head into:

Contributions (ie other similar brain dumps), especially the tool part
number and more information about the different fuel pump mountings /
removal procedures, would be greatly appreciated.

Last night I installed the "Cite" module, so it is now very easy to
give credit by linking to a post in the archives using "ref" html
tags.  I used that heavily in the above article.
