'01 VSS Output Signal, PPR?

How many pulses per revolution (of the transaxle output) does the '01
Audi VSS produce? I'm trying to determine if it's compatible with a
Porsche speedo which uses 10 pulses per revolution. I'm hoping they're
the same.
Thanks,
Andy

I've done the Audi-suggested mod by purchasing their expensive harness
with
the Zenner attached.
Bernie Benz probably has a cheaper approach available.

Hey Listers,
Does anyone know where I can find the appropriate Zener Diode to use
with the a/c compressor (patient is a 200q20v) to stop the feedback
popping when the clutch cycles? I found some on Mouser.com but they
are sold by large quantities and I just need one.
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com says it needs to be one with an 18v
breakdown voltage.
Has anyone done the mod? It's described here:

Cheers,
Kenneth

Thanks Kneale. Do you, or does anyone reading, know whether this is
only required/helpful with the factory sound system or is there/would
there be popping with aftermarket components as well?
Thanks,
Kenneth

It's not my birthday, but thank you.
As for the sublists- nobody (I think) is suggesting merging active
sublists.
I do wish that people on the sublists would participate more on the
main list, however...
