Caller ID and ANI are both pretty easily spoofed.
It's an increasingly common prank for someone to fake Caller ID / ANI
info, call the emergency number for a particular county/city, pretend
they're the resident and that they just shot someone, or something
else designed to get the response of a SWAT unit- who show up, bust in
the door, and lots of guns get pointed at lots of innocent people.
It's called "swatting".
