FWIW, there are Haynes manuals for the 84-88 5000's. Perhaps the answer is
one of those. I wish I could tell you, but I gave my Haynes away. It has
some helpful tips, particularly in the body and trim areas, that the Bentley
just didn't work for me on, AND it's meant for peeps with "regular" not VAG
tools.

It's possible the amp only exists in the 89+ type 44's, sorry :-|  My
memory is fuzzy; it's been a while since I owned a 5k and its Bently
manuals.  Do you have a set?
