200 10v mc2 no start

I had recently (2 months) installed a rebuilt starter in my '90 200. When
it wouldn't crank, even though I could hear it click I suspected a faulty
starter. I took it out to take it back to the rebuilder, and put in a known
working spare. Same thing, so now I better figure out what is wrong.
Thoroughly clean the block and starter motor mounting surfaces, apply some
anti-corrosion grease if you can, and all is well.
It amazes me that even with a starter in place and solidly bolted down that
enough current can't pass to turn the motor.
In your case there may other issues but I know i'm not the only one to have
the corrosion problem.
Good luck.
