With the "high voltage" after start I'd suspect you have a grounding issue.
I suggest remove and clean the engine ground straps where they contact the
body/block. I put electrical paste (ox-gard) on them to avoid further
corrosion and improve the connections. Do also check the battery-body
ground and the "splice" in the positive cable in the passenger footwell.
I've had to replace this splice on every type 44 I've owned/worked on!
To be a bit more scientific about the troubleshooting you can put a meter
between battery ground and the + terminal on the starter then measure while
cranking. If the ground/splice is suspect you won't see enough voltage.

Subject: 200 10v mc2 no start
I started my car this morning.... (saw very high voltage after start...not
sure if that matters, but 14v and not typical even after start to see this..
may not be an issue). Ran it for ~5 minutes (started easy). Stopped it.
Filled windshield washer fluid reservoir up (with associated splashing).
Went out ~20 minutes later to start the car and nothing. i hear the relay go
or whatnot, but no crank etc. I have recently replaced the ignition switch
(electrical portion) with success (so i thought) and I'm not thinking it is
this piece of the equation. Any thoughts as to what to check? should be fun
checking this crap on my own.
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Hayes
