Oil pressure warning at 2800 rpm, 1988 90Q

Thank you guys, you know your stuff.  Fixed the wires with new connectors and have no more oil pressure warning! 
 
However, as soon as the car starts, the oil gauge gets pegged at the max. Any suggestions?
