If you want after-purchase support for the Vag.Com, you need to buy it from
the manufacturer or one of its licensed vendors.

My 200q20v avant has been without ABS for two years because I mashed one of
the sensors replacing an axle (forgot to pull it out of its socket).
Brakes work fine except there's no ABS, which means the rears CAN lock up
in hard braking circumstances. Just like brakes always did before ABS.

Subject: ABS light and Vagcom scanner

Two questions..

The ABS warning light on my 2000 A4 quattro is coming on.

Since my cheapo generic scanner doesn't display ABS codes I'm looking to
buy a vagcom scanner. Plenty of places advertising on the Internet. Anyone
have any recommendations?

Also, my Bentley warns that the rear wheels would be prone to lockup when
ABS is disabled. Anyone had any experience on how serious a problem this is?

Thanks

Vic Norman 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro
