ABS light and Vagcom scanner

Victor,
Had what is most likely the same issue on our 99.5 A4 Avant with the ABS. I'm betting it's the electronic portion of the ABS, otherwise known as the control module. I had it rebuilt by Module Masters for something along the lines of $250...much cheaper than a new one, and it has a lifetime guarantee. It's also a relatively easy pull, and you send yours off for repair, it's not a purchase-core return deal. You can drive the car if need be while awaiting its return and re-installation, albeit without ABS, which is no different than what you have now.

Good Luck.
