Unintended acceleration

I really like the "keys just have to be in proximity" with a start button.
The DUMBEST thing I ever saw was where you had to insert and turn the
key..... then take your hand from said key... and push a start button.

It does make sense in an airplane to have such a second step... but
certainly not in a car!  (in the airplane you need power for some checks,
and you do what you can prior to engine start to save time on the engine(s))
