[urq] 83 URQ 10v Backfire in throttle body ?

Almost all these sort of issues I had with CIS on my WX in UrQ invariably led to some
sort of air leak. I chased many an ignition problem only to find I had some sort of CIS
problem that was usually related to a torn hose or leak somewhere.

I really don't recall ever having a real ignition problem despite having fixed the
ignition over and over.

Similar with later 5000 turbo quattro - most of the time problems are with some air
leak.

*I have had my 83 sitting for awhile in the driveway, and went out to start it and the
battery was dead. Charged it up and moved it into the garage.
Problem is is pops and backfires through the throttle body. I checked the air intake
temp sensor and the wires are ok. I cleaned it , but no changes.
Swapped the plugs, rotor, still no changes. Any ideas on where to look for
the problem ? Thanks - Tim*]
