Windshield wipers

You are thinking about the park switch in the wiper motor. Based on your
description of symptoms I would recommend you start with the wiper switch on
the column. I believe the thread you reference turned out to be the switch
on the column as well. I don't know how difficult it is to R&R the switch
on a Eurovan, if it is difficult you might want to sit down with a wiring
diagram and voltmeter to see if there are any other common wiring runs based
on what is working and what is not. For example, since you find that the
intermittent mode isn't working you might be able to measure the power to
the delay module when the switch is set to intermittent.

Looked in the archives and the knowledge base but couldn't find the thread
from a few months back re: wipers stalling anywhere on the windshield, when
the switch was turned off. IIRC, the repair involved the motor itself.
I have the same issue on a '92 Eurovan and am hoping the fix to be related -
wipers work only on high speed and stop, when switch is moved to a different
position. The washers spray but wipers don't move. The intermittent and
low speed wipers don't work. The rear wiper and washer work. Visual check
on the switch shows no harm and the van has only 145K km. It has been
sitting for the last 6 years and things are slowly waking up.
I'd appreciate any elucidation on the subject and/or the thread link, if
someone has it.
Thanks in advance,
Tihol
