Thanks, I will try to answer all the replies so far in this one post

>>>Can sensors hooked up?

1. The cam sensors are hooked up.

>>>Compression test maybe?

2. I did a compression test but this was on a cold car that has been
sitting for almost 3 months.
     1= 100  2=100  3=40  4=75   5=120  6=120
I know these # look terrible (especially #3) but from what I understand on
a cold motor that has been sitting for a long time, the #'s can be low. I'm
hoping #3 has some junk stuck in the valve or something like that but even
with these # it should at least try and start.

>>>So you are getting fuel ( plugs wet) and spark at the wire ( confirmed,
correct?)?
>>>That leaves air and timing for sequential bangs to occur. You just
played with timing. What might you >>>have done wrong?

With the timing mark on the crank lined up, the cam bar fits correctly and
the lock pin can be inserted. At this point a visual inspection shows the
cams on their marks so I want to say it's impossible for the cam timing to
be off (but after 50+ years of working on my own cars.....I have found
nothing is impossible).
I am going to go and confirm spark to all 6 cylinders with my little in
line light. I will also remove my air box/ MAF sensor and look for a rag.
