Data point # 2: Last year I started up my '93 Corrado VR6 which had sat
for a while (long while) due to a coolant leak. While it didn't like
the gas all that well (pinging due to the octane rating going to hell),
it did start no problem. First stop was the gas station for a fill up
with some fresh 93. It had been 3 years based on my log book since I
last filled up the tank.
