87 5000TQ Window issue

The drivers side window has developed a problem. It still goes up and 
down just fine. However when you hit the down button and the auto down 
goes on, it is no longer possible to stop the auto down progress. 
Hitting up does not work. And for a few secs after bottom, up will not 
do anything (still stuck in auto down mode). But after a few, then 
things are back to normal.

I am assuming that it is the electronics responsible for the auto down 
that are malfunctioning. Can anyone point me to where those electronics 
might be. And if anyone knows a fix for this...
