Clockwise to enrich, CCW to lean. 1/4 turn increments are good to work with.
You may find adjusting to rich helps, but only confirms further compensation for lack of
fuel for too much air. It only takes one vacuum line with a slit or porous.
Definitely keep track from where you started.

As I recall, it's the opposite of carburetor jet adjustment, ie, clockwise is richer and
CCW is leaner.
