The speedo & trip comp would lead me away from the ECU.  The fact that it seems to be related.to boost is odd though.  It is probably a flaky power or ground connection to the cluster.  I'd recommend that you pull the IC & look for bad connections.  

Thinking about what sort of electrical peripherals might be coming into play ... WGFV & WOT switch perhaps.  I'm assuming TQ ... but if FWD automatic the kickdown mechanics might be a place to look.

Was coming back from Sfest did a 3rd gear pull on the thruway and now my speedometer and my rpm gauge bounces way up in a full boost pull @ any speed. Ran the codes and there was a 2112 code. Cleaned the rpm and tdc sensor off then drove over a half hour ran them again to find there was no codes now. The gauges still bounce. Also the trip computer flashes some times now too.
