Shock/strut/spring life.

Now that I finished my front brakes with new Brembo rotors and Hawkperformance street pads, it's time to turn my attention to my front struts.
I also finished replacing the bushings in the control arms, these were the newer style with 44.4 mm bushings, fitting in the cast control arm.
Question: How much mileage determines the strength left on a front spring? My '90 80 non- Q has about 225K .
When I lived in Idaho, we would travel about 5 miles over good logging roads before we got to pavement. Sometimes the road would be washboard and potholes. Sometimes a deer or bear to swerve away from.
Any suggestions. Should I go for a little lower or would that require a complete new strut/shock, sized different than stock? I still would like to keep a very soft ride for my aging behind.
Who sells springs, with a reasonable price.
Again that's for your help and comments.
Al
