Temp Issue figgered out

I had a problem with a 5ktq pushing out anti-freeze and blinking a temp light at me while making a gurgling sound. I put it to this list and got a lot of good ideas to try.

I finally had time to make an all out assault on this problem. I replaced the tank and cap and fan sensor switch from the parts carcass and it would still get hot and spit out all the green stuff that takes a lot of green stuff to buy. I checked for exhaust fumes in the coolant tank but there was none so the head was good.

The winner is a stuck thermostat. When I took out the fan sensor I noticed the coolant was cold while the motor was still warm. The whole radiator was cold. I plunked down the 20+ buck-a-roos to get a new thermostat and I am now a happy camper.
