3 car seats?

Very few cars will hold 3 cars seats side-by-side-by-side.

You (or your B-i-L) might not like hearing this, but having raised
3 boys, I'd say go with a Dodge Minivan -- available in that price
range, cheap to keep, and will give the critters lots of room.
("Dad, he hit me!" "Don't make me stop this car.")

As for an Audi, go bigger. I wouldn't consider an A4 for 3 kids.
They do grow, you know. Go for the A6 wagon. It will hold 2 car
seats, I don't know about 3, but even with 2, someone will be
stuck in the middle, unhappy.
