I'm a long time member of AAA and they have covered me a bunch of times.  3 times last year.  One was my fault when I lost the ignition key to urq and had to tow it to my mechanic to put in a new lock cylinder.  Never have they questioned why.  Several years ago I had them pick up a T44 I bought for the engine.  It was a turbo auto that only had 1st gear and could not be driven home.  They didn't notice or care that  I was driving another car and not riding with the driver.  As long as you're within the 100 mile radius, its OK.  I also like getting maps and tour books for free.
