Replacement for 078 103 224P breather hose

Guys,

Anybody come up with a suitable replacement for 078 103 224P breather hose on the ATQ (2.8L 30V) valve cover?  This is the one that snakes from the right valve cover around the front of the engine and back down the left valve cover.  The engineer who designed this hose makes team door handle look like geniuses.  A plastic convoluted hose sitting on top of the engine made completely brittle by engine heat and disintegrates when touched.
