I don't even need to hack the updates on my old TomTom ONE 3rd Ed. The
updates remain free, it's supported.  As for the logo hack, I've got several
stored on the unit (and even the icon that locates your car on the cartoon
screen) depending upon what car is being driven. I would say the 4 rings
logo is a bit unwieldy as a locator icon, since it's 4 rings, vs. a circular
icon for Saab or VW.
