Thanks Tony.  I confirmed that NG is to AAR
 (wasn’t sure but figured that’s
the implication of your email
had to be J )  I’ve attached the posting for
this engine
 variants are NF,NG,AAR for 10v and 7A for the 20v 2.3 litre

Below it puts the NG/AAR together  rating them to same power
I’m figuring
same intake as well? I’ll dig alittle more as my correlation is a stretch

or someone can stop me with “Yup, NG=AAR injector mounting style on intake”.

The NG motor has injectors mount in the intake manifold on this engine.
Only 87-88 NF has injectors in the head.
