Those are the 2 I remember offhand, there was also a Ford (tractor) and
Sunoco oil that fit the bill too. It all depends on what region of the
country you live in as to the availability of the different substitutes.
There were a few more, I'm sure listers will chime in with the others.
Before any anal types get their panties in a bunch, my fleet of 4 type
44's is alive and well after 15+ years of nothing by DTE in the
hydraulics. I also run DTE in place of the ubber expensive OEM fluid in
the hydraulic suspension of the Mercyless Benz (I can flush the system
every year now without having to mortgage the house.) If the sky was
gonna fall, it would have done it by now.
