having owned both, they are very different cars.

I had a 2000 S4. Fun, fairly tossable, quick.

I replaced it with an S6 avant when i bought a "proper" sports car (aka rear wheels driven, motor between the axles....

The S6 is a wonderful car, but it is not light and toss able by any means.

It does however have this turbine like source of power without delay anywhere on the rpm dial.  effortless.

And comfy.
