What to get next for a car?

My 2 cents.

I had a 99 Passat 2.8 V6 fwd tiptronic, and I was not impressed.  Interior
was falling apart and the rest of the car wasn't far behind.  Glad to get
rid of it.  I now have a 2001 allroad which, although not up to the standard
of my old 200 20v is a much better car than the Passat.  I have heard that
2001 was the first year that Audi and VW started getting their quality back
to par.  Hopefully that is the case.

I have a 2002 Passat V6/automatic that replaced a 1999.5 A4 1.8Ttq
avant/manual (and by "replaced" I mean "it's still in the garage because I
haven't gotten around to selling it yet"). In many ways I miss driving the
Audi, but the Passat gets better mileage by about 2 or 3 MPG than the A4 in
mostly highway driving (my commute is 140 miles round trip), the back seat
can be inhabited by adults and it's been more reliable than the A4.?

size is much more useful. The A4 is fun and more tossable, but I don't do
that much spirited driving anymore and the kids look at me funny when I
do!!!
