Extended Warranty?? - Follow up

It depends on the warranty of course. Most companies offer several 
levels from drivetrain only to bumper to bumper.

I recall a long list of exclusions on, for example, Audi's own warranty 
with CPO cars. As i recall CVs were not covered, nor were bushings, but 
ball joints were.

Water pump was covered, as was the T-stat ( mine siezed under warranty)

So to my way of thinking, unless you plan to lose a tranny or a motor, 
or if the car is a problem car ( deferred maint, just plain badly 
treated, etc.)  its a bad deal.

Many companies have the fine print on line if you wish to search and 
read. Audi does.
