[s-cars] Racing jack

I haven't heard it mentioned as of yet, but for refereence, I have a Torin 1.5 ton aluminum jack that the seal failed on in less than 2 months. It was a gift and I didn't feel like sending it back to wherever it came from so I didn't bother. Not sure I'd bother with another one, and I need a "good" 3 ton jack to lift the Q7 in addition to a lighter one. I had a Craftsman 2 ton steel jack that lasted for 10+ years that I may go back to.

Well, nothing in my stable currently is that low. :)
That having been said, I know a lot of people buy the HF jacks,
and whether the mixed feedback is because of the large number of
jacks out there, or what, I'm not sure.
I *hate* having tools break, so I'm going to buy the OTC. It's
somewhat heavier than the HF jacks, at 42 lbs versus 25 or so.
It's also sold by a tools company, and while I think it's made in
China, I'm hoping that they have designed a solid product. They do
have a pretty good warranty and customer service. I'm hoping
(there's that word again) that I don't need to test either. :)
Thanks!
Lee
