Fay, glad to hear you're getting back in the game. You're still in
Flagstaff, right?

You may want to keep your eye on the Denver Craig's List used car section.
Den isn't too far from you and it's positively overrun with Audis.

Regardless of where and what you buy, try to find one with a well documented
history, being sold by a private owner. Elderly couples or rich businessmen
tend to keep up their cars. College kids not so much. . .

I will say that the cheapest Audi that I owned was an '89 100 Quattro. Nice
car to drive, very inexpensive to maintain. The S6 avant not so much
(slippery slope kind of thing). But the S6 is a hell of a lot faster and a
lot more fun to drive than the 100 was. ;-)

I've seen a lot of what I'd consider reasonably priced A6 sedans and avants
in the CL Denver listings. Maybe some with ownership experience can chime in
on their benefits or lack thereof, as well as what years to consider or
avoid.

Good luck.

Tom '95 S6 Avant
