Thinking about an allroad

the allroad had the option of a 2-set rear-facing bench seat that slots into
the load bay. it is suitable for kids up to about 9. we find it very
useful as each kid can get in very quickly, they have their own belt and arm
rest and like the view out the back of the wagon they are also much safer
there than in the proper rear seat imo. the seat can be swivelled and
stowed sideways in the load bay if the space is needed for something else,
and the seat can also be folded up by releasing a couple of catches. in
practice this is what we do when we don¹t need the seat as stowing the seat
sideways is pretty tricky to do. given the size of the a6 avant load area,
the space taken up by a folded-up rear seat is immaterial when it comes to
groceries etc.
