Weisbaden radio decoding

OK, so I just got an '88 90Q with this radio & the CD changer (which is 
missing the cartridge thing).

Since the battery had been run flat, it is of course in "safe" mode now.

I suspect a PO entered a custom code, since the "custom code" card has 
been removed from the radio instruction manual.

Is there anyway to make this thing work?  I know I can try 1-1-1-1 just 
in case, but if that doesn't work...?

Do I have to just buy a refurbed one?
