Strange behaviour from climate control

Earlier this week I had to adjust co%. When doing this I had to take off the OXS-connectors on the firewall.
On the MC2-engine, these are placed behind the wastegate.
Before I did this the climate controll worked perfectly.
I was out driving a bit more today, and it seems that if I depress the accelerator let's say 30% or more, the air starts
slowly to blow in the upper vents. If I ease of the accelerator, the air will come back to the centre vents.
Could I damaged some kind of one-way valve or something?

I am not sure about the fan speed. I do know that the pneumatic valves will cause a safe mode action.
I have had really serious problems with these climate controls. We had three identical 5TQ's and a parts car so we did a lot of testing and fiddling to try to diagnose multiple problems.
In one case a spring on the flap for the defrost duct broke which put the thing in safe mode every now and then. Another time the cold air "radiator" was so plugged up with leaves and lint that the air conditioner was never able to cool the car.
I think that the fan speed is sort of the "final decision" that the climate control makes, adjusting the fan speed to match the interior temperature, the outside temperature and the temperature setting on the climate control panel.
Try setting the temperature higher or lower and see what results.
As a final piece of good news . the last straw in my daily-driver 1988 5TQ was the climate control problem with the broken spring. I relegated the car to "parts car status" and am now driving another one. I am getting worried: I only have one more left! Maybe I'll buy an R8 V10 spider .if I sell my house.
