5 cylinder Mercedes Benz?

I had a new '75 300D sedan back then, but the 5-cylinder was a relatively
recent introduction. Don't think they had 5 cyl. engines n '86...just 4s,
6s and V8s in various configurations....The 300D was a nice car for its
time, but it could have used a turbo!
