'02 a41.8t avant windshield washer pumps

Not trying to defend parts vendors, however I have had several OE
thermostats fail in short timeframes (1-2 years).  On one unit the spot
welds failed leaving it open.  Another jammed "part open" causing
overheating issues.  Quality control even on OE seems to be less than ideal!

Bought a thermostat from them, four months later, car overheated resulted in
cracked head, which yielded a replacement engine, since it would have been
more expensive to replace the heads.  Does that help?
