Stripped oil drain plug - what to do next

I had very good luck (150+ K) with one of the rubber inserts, which you  
install (looks like a baby bottle nipple) and put a much smaller bolt into to  
expand the insert....went for 20+ years on my GTI including 10+  
autocrossing....YMMV.
