Yep, plenty of BTDT. I'd check teh belt in regards to the squeal.

The blower motor os more than likely getting weak. Some have managed
to put some WD40 or whatnot where the brushes are and get it working.
I replaced mine. It's not too bad, just takes a little time and some
patience. And a big pry bar to break the seal loose.
